Can I have a test account setup for my staging environment?
Of course! Send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org with the URL for your staging environment and we can get you set up with a separate account to test the Parse.ly integration before pushing to your live production environment. We’ll be able to give you all of the relevant information via e-mail.
Note that a common source of data inconsistency occurs when publishers fire pageviews from a staging/dev site to a production dashboard with URLs for articles that haven’t yet been published. For example, the page staging.example.com/article1 fires a Parse.ly pageview for the URL example.com/article1 (the URL on the production site, which has yet to go live). You should never send pageviews to a production dashboard for URLs that don’t appear on your live site, or that you don’t want to appear in your dashboard and API results. Creating a separate staging dashboard to track staging pages is a better approach.
